Welcome to the Michigan Legal Help Self-Help Center of Monroe County!

Our Self-Help Center, located at Monroe County Opportunity Program (MCOP), is available for anyone wishing to learn more information about how to represent themselves in simple legal matters through the Michigan Legal Help Website.

The site offers information and forms specifically for Monroe County residents! A printer available allows users to print documents needed for Monroe County cases.

Along with the website, there will be MCOP staff (called “navigators”) available to help visitors search through the site in order to find the information needed. We also have a navigator who can assist visitors who only speak Spanish.

Even though our navigators will be available to assist visitors, they cannot give legal advice.

The Self-Help Center is available during MCOP office hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, since it takes some time to look through the site, we ask visitors to come in prior to 4 p.m. in order to have sufficient time to search the site.

The Self-Help Center is free to use, however, there is a charge for some forms to cover copy expenses.
